ABSTRACT  
The modern U.S. occupational exposure assessment model is best described by the AIHA 2015 exposure assessment and management textbook.  This model developed over a period of five or more decades.  Along the way there were missteps, deceptions, misdirection, and untruths.  This is the truish story of how a handful of industrial hygienists saved industrial hygiene … for the U.S. and the World.
 
SPEAKER
Paul Hewett Ph.D. CIH is the founder, president, and principal of EAS. Previously, Paul worked for NIOSH (Division of Respiratory Disease Studies), specializing in the measurement and characterization of pneumoconiosis producing dusts. His credentials include a masters in industrial hygiene from Central Missouri State University (1978), a doctorate in industrial hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Public Health (1991), as well as numerous peer reviewed publications addressing exposure data analysis and interpretation issues.
