Current and Overlooked IEQ Topics Speaker: Joe Hughes, President of IAQ Training Institute, LLC (IAQTI) and co-host of IAQ Radio+. Session Abstract: This presentation will discuss current and overlooked IEQ topics from the speaker's perspective over the past few years. The presentation will briefly touch on COVID 19 as that topic has led to an increased awareness about IEQ in general and has increased interest in topics such as ventilation, appropriate cleaning and disinfecting, source control, PPE and more. If not for COVID 19 there may have been more attention given to other current issues such as cooking and IEQ, cleaning and IEQ, wildfires and IEQ, hurricanes/flooding and IEQ, HOMEChem and IEQ, new IEQ guidance documents, Building Science and IEQ and more. Joe's presentation will focus on overlooked IEQ issues and provide the resources needed for those who want to do a deep dive. Speaker Biography: Joe Hughes “Radio Joe” is President of IAQ Training Institute, LLC (IAQTI) and co-host of IAQ Radio+. IAQTI was founded in 2001 and has provided environmental consulting, training and media services locally and around the world. IAQTI produces IAQ Radio+ www.iaqradio.com a weekly interactive YouTube show and podcast on IAQ, disaster restoration, home performance and building science issues. “Radio Joe” has interviewed many of the top experts in the world and the IAQ Radio+ audience is international in scope having been listened to live, downloaded and streamed in over 60 countries. His long history of extensive field services and experience helps him provide real world education and engaging conversations on IEQ, disaster restoration and building science related topics. Joe and his co-host Cliff “The Z-man” Zlotnik were inducted into the IAQA Hall of Fame in 2016. Joe’s Bachelor degree is from the University of Pittsburgh and he holds the ACAC Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC) certification. |
