Event Description: This 4-hour workshop consists of:
Speaker: Sergio A. Caporali Filho, PhD, CSP, CIH
Dr. Sergio A. Caporali is an industrial engineer by training. He holds a BSc in Ind. Eng. from the University of Lima in Peru, a ME in Manufacturing Management Systems Eng. from the University of Puerto Rico, a MSc in Ind. Hygiene and a PhD in Ind. Eng.-Ergonomics from West Virginia University. Sergio is a certified industrial hygienist and a certified safety professional with 30 years of experience in the field and the academia. Dr. Caporali is currently moving back to Puerto Rico where he will continue to lead the graduate program in Ind. Hygiene from the Univ. of Puerto Rico. Sergio serves as an instructor in the Michigan and North Carolina Ind. Ventilation Conferences, the Brazilian Industrial Ventilation Course, and the ACGIH Fundamentals of Industrial Ventilation. As a member of the ACGIH Ind. Ventilation Committee since 2017, Sergio has developed a partially funded research program in industrial ventilation design to address several research questions related to the effects of air density in the aerosol transport ability of LEV system. Finally, Sergio is an active certified self-reliant scuba diver and as such practices IH even during his non-work-related activities. |
