Please join the Pittsburgh AIHA on Thursday, March 2, 2017 as we welcome Dr. Steven Lacey, National AIHA President and Chair, Dept. of Env. Health Science at Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health in Indianapolis, Indiana to Pittsburgh!  

Dr. Lacey will facilitate a discussion on AIHA's strategic priorities and the future of industrial hygiene practice.  We will also address concrete ways that Pittsburgh members can help ensure a sustainable pipeline of OHS professionals.

Speaker Biography:

Dr. Steven Lacey is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Environmental Health Science at the Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health in Indianapolis.  Dr. Lacey earned an MS in Industrial Hygiene from Texas A&M University, and a PhD in the same from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.  Prior to Indianapolis, he was the Director of the Industrial Hygiene program at the Illinois NIOSH ERC.  His current research focuses on medical laser health and safety.  A Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional, Dr. Lacey currently serves as President of the American Industrial Hygiene Association.​
