Kellie Pierson is a co-coordinator for the HealthiestNIOSH Program for the Office for Total Worker Health® at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The HealthiestNIOSH Program focuses on optimizing safety, health, and well-being of all people working at NIOSH by improving the workplace environment, policies and program, and by increasing the number of health opportunities available to NIOSH staff. With over 24 years of experience at NIOSH she has lead several research projects and prepared/presented regularly at national conferences and meetings on a variety of occupational safety and health topics.

Jeannie Nigam is a research psychologist with the Work Organization and Stress Research Team at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and a member of the core team in the Office for Total Worker Health. Jeannie has a M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the same field. Her research centers on understanding how work organization affects employee health and well-being with emphases in the areas of work-life balance, depression, and examining the benefits of comprehensive organizational programs that promote and protect worker health. She currently has a project designed to investigate work-related risks to short-haul truck drivers’ health and safety.

Karl Sieber is a Senior Research Health Scientist in the Division of Surveillance, Hazard Evaluations, and Field Studies at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in Cincinnati, Ohio. He received the Ph.D. and M.S. Hyg. in Biostatistics from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health and has been with NIOSH since 1982.
Dr. Sieber’s fields of expertise include Statistics, Epidemiology, survey design, and Industrial Hygiene. Besides transportation, his research has included anthrax exposures, exposure to metal-working fluids, and indoor air quality. His work on occupational exposure to respirable crystalline silica during hydraulic fracturing operations was awarded the 2014 Alice Hamilton Award for Occupational Safety and Health in the Exposure and Risk Assessment Category. This award recognizes the scientific excellence of technical and instructional materials by NIOSH scientists.
Dr. Sieber is Project Officer for the project, 'National Survey of Long-haul Truck Driver Health and Injury', which he will discuss today. This work won the 2015 Alice Hamilton Award in the Epidemiology and Surveillance Category.

Kris Corbett is currently National Director of Occupational Health and Safety for Wellness Coaches USA. Kris has over 20 years’ experience working in Wellness/Health Promotion and Injury Prevention creating innovative and effective products and services for large companies (Merck & Co., DuPont, ExxonMobil, CIGNA, Sunoco, Toll Brothers, Microsoft, etc.) Kris has proven success in driving employee engagement without incentives- ultimately driving large scale health/safety risk improvements and injury reduction.
Kris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from East Stroudsburg University and has pursued her MS from West Chester University in Health Promotion. She is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
