In the new "5 on the Frontline" video podcast, AIHA's director of Government Relations, Mark Ames, interviews experts in public health and safety-related fields about current and future policy actions that affect the lives of workers and their communities. The first episode features Bernie Fontaine, Jr, COVID, and Amateur Sports. The second episode features an interview with Ed Primeau, past chair of AIHA's Incident Preparedness and Response Working Group, that focuses on natural disaster preparedness, response, and recovery during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Call for Scholarship Applications will launch in mid- October and applicants will have until Monday, February 1, 2021, to submit. To view the eligibility requirements of receiving an AIHF scholarship, please visit the following site. Students who are not enrolled in any of the applicable programs/schools are still eligible to apply. In order to qualify, a school administrator must complete a separate application justifying why their program/students should be considered for an AIHF scholarship. The deadline to submit a school application form is January 8, 2021.

Back to Work Safely™ - Free Resources
As communities across the country are having to draft their own re-opening strategies, the 26 Back to Work Safely guidance documents and posters, part of AIHA's public education effort, continue to help employers and their employees return to work safely with industry sector-specific guidelines and resources. AIHA has also joined efforts with CDC, NIOSH and other allied associations to further educate the public about returning to work safely by hosting a series of free webinars.
The Robert Morris University Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management has helped thousands of organizations as a comprehensive resource for education, consulting, coaching, research, and hands-on solutions for every aspect of nonprofit management. The Fall Course Catalog is now available and includes members of the Pittsburgh AIHA / Western PA ASSE who will provide safety and health awareness training for nonprofits on November 13, 2020 from 10:00-11:30 AM.
