Thanks to Stan Liang, Pgh. AIHA Director, we now have Facebook and LinkedIn interest groups. In addition, to getting the latest local section news, announcements, and job postings this is your opportunity to network with local EHS professionals. Members can also post local EHS related announcements and job openings.
Three social media buttons have been added to the top of each page (beside the search box) for Facebook, LinkedIn, and the RSS Feed button so you can set up a live bookmark on your web browser. Members of these groups are welcome to provide feedback to us at AIHA Pittsburgh Section (by posting discussion threads) on what interests you or how we can better address your needs or concerns. Stan will monitor these accounts, so any questions or comments can be directed to him at [email protected]. Thank you to the members who participated in our online ballot to approve the revised Local Section By-Laws. All but one were in favor of the revision. Once the National AIHA approves the By-Laws, they will be updated on the website.
 The Executive Committee would like to thank new Corporate Sponsor, PPG Industries, Inc., for their generous support! Corporate sponsorship funds help to defray the operating expenses (website and membership management, scholarships, etc.) and meeting expenses of the local section. Local section meetings allow members to remain at the forefront in a constantly changing profession through the interaction and information exchange at our local meetings. Additionally, our meetings provide opportunities for members to earn certification maintenance points toward CIH, CSP and other professional accreditations without extensive travel or cost. PPG is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Product Stewardship Specialist within the Architectural Coatings business unit in the Pittsburgh area. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance within the North American architectural coating regulatory environment. The incumbent will interact with all business functions as part of the Product Stewardship, Regulatory Affairs, and Labeling team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all forms of hazardous communication as well as support general product stewardship demands and opportunities.
