The Pittsburgh Section is part of the national American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) founded in 1939. The AIHA is an international organization made up of more than 10,000 members from every industry worldwide who are dedicated to health and safety in the workplace, community, and environment.
Congratulations to 2017 Pittsburgh AIHA Local Section Scholarship recipient Dana Marie Piper, a student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and Pgh. Local Section student member. Dana was extremely grateful and honored to be the recipient this year. This award will assist Dana as she continues her education at IUP. Dana noted in a thank you letter that she would like to become a Certified Industrial Hygienist and work to advance the profession of IH through the elimination and control of health and safety problems. Her ultimate goal is to protect worker health and safety. Best wishes to Dana as she works towards reaching her goals!!
