As required by our by-laws, this special notice is provided to all Pittsburgh Local Section AIHA members to allow our membership the opportunity to vote on by-law changes recommended by the National AIHA in keeping with recognized local section standards. Most of the changes are minor, changing a few words here and there to update and clarify the way our local section will be governed going forward. The proposed changes have been reviewed and approved by our Local Section executive committee as well as the National AIHA committee dealing with local sections.
Active members are asked to respond with their vote by August 7 and should refer to the email sent today (July 31) for the revised by-laws, and vote using the online ballot link in the email to either approve or disapprove of the amended by-laws.
Acceptance of the by-law changes by a majority vote of Local Section members will take effect immediately upon final approval by the Natl. AIHA Secretary/Board of Directors. Remember, your participation in Local Section activities is critical for the future success of our Association.
