| This event was a great success! 38 members/guests were in attendance on March 18, 2015 for the lunch at The Bistro at Bella Sera, followed by a presentation titled: Health and Safety in the Oil and Gas Industry: Construction to Production. Presenter Pat Carfagna, CIH (Consol Energy) gave a presentation on the phases of natural gas well development and the health and safety hazards associated with each phase. Particular attention was given to the completions (commonly called “fracking”) portion of the operation, and the technology that has been deployed to reduce silica exposure.
